Redesign

At the end of 2025, I worked on a redesign of the site to simplify aspects of the user experience and modernize the look and feel.

I found the ability for AI to generate satisfactory mockups was lacking in the design so I made new mockups myself. Here are the aspects of the design that I adjusted:

• Consistent placement of controls, moving them to the top right of each panel
• Stronger highlight color for interactive elements
• Reduced variation in font sizes and heaviness in weights
• More space around elements
• Subtler styling of dividers
• Clearer grouping of which controls are applied to which areas

While AI was lacking in design, I was astounded by its ability to generate code from prompts and mockups.I no longer had the original code to create the site, and it was written 7 years ago so the tech stack was awfully outdated. I was able to quickly recreate it from scratch using Google's Antigravity.
